New Light-Narrowcast is a video installation comprised of declassified nuclear test footage and audio played via a WW2 era radio. Ito reprocessed the footage from tests done on American soil as thousands of separate photograms, using sunlight to remake each frame before re-compiling them into video. The result is hauntingly abstract but also terrifyingly real. Keiper’s audio possesses the 1943 Philco tube radio like a demon, racking it with distorted drones that tower over tinny oratory that laments the spectacle of the new light portrayed in the video.
